On October 23, 2012, 7 representatives from Akdeniz University in Turkey, including the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Kurtcephe and his wife, came to visit our Graduate School of Horticulture.

We've been having a very close relationship with Akdeniz University ever since our Professor Ohe had attended the "International Tourist Week" hosted by the Akdeniz University. For example, 3 Undergraduate students from our campus were invited to "Mediterranean Youth Festival" at the University in 2011.

Meeting was attended by Dean Professor Koba, and other professors. Our students who had studied at Akdeniz University welcomed the representatives and stayed for a photo opportunity.  After the photo opp, there was friendly but lively exchange of opinions on the future student and research exchange. Despite the bad weather, the representatives also toured our Closed Plant Factory and saw the first blue dahlia in the world etc. and they were listening to the guide's explanation very eagerly.

The representatives then went on to meet the President of Chiba University at Nishichiba campus and visited other departments.
