Isoda Laboratory
Outlines of researches

My ultimate object is to improve yields of crops. I have been studying on potato, soybean, peanut, cotton, rice, industrial tomato and sugar beet in field conditions. Recently, one of my interests is adaptation and productivity of crops under water and heat stress conditions. I have been coorabollating with Urmuqi Agricultural and Environmental Institute for Arid Areas in Central Asia, in Xinjiang, China, and researching these subjects at the institute since 1998. My analyzing methods of crop eco-physiology are to measure dry weights of crops, leaf area, intercepted radiation by crops, and micro climatic conditions within crop canopies, using the growth analysis method, several kinds of monitoring sensors and remote sensing methods.
