Born in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and raised in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
After serving as a DC2 Research Fellow at Chiba University and a PD Research Fellow at Yokohama National University under JSPS, joined the Graduate School of Horticulture at Chiba University in 2020.
Expertise: Physical Geography (Hydrology, Vegetation Geography), Agrometeorology, Remote Sensing, and GIS.
Research: Developing technologies to visualize the "invisible" aspects of plants and their environments through advanced sensing. Focused on solving agricultural challenges with smart farming, promoting profitable, story-driven agriculture, and advancing next-generation breeding through efficient data collection. Also engaged in ecosystem monitoring and studying ecotone shifts driven by climate change.
