Project Assistant Prof. Watanabe graduated from Nagoya University and has been a teaching staff in Graduate School of Horticulture since 2017. DNA(RNA)-based analyses enable to visualized hidden biodiversity and to construct management strategy of species and populations for future. My studies are focused on Genetics and Genomics, Plant Phylogeography, Evolutionary Ecology, Management of Plant Populations, Conservation of Biodiversity.
- Speciation and diversification process of genus Rhododendron (Ericaceae) in East Asia.
