Horticulture Students Volunteered at Matsudo City International Exchange Event

2024.12.12

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, international students from Chiba University's Faculty of Horticulture volunteered at the 35th International Exchange Party, held at the Mori no Hall 21 in the Matsudo City Cultural Hall.
This event celebrated Matsudo City reaching a population of 500,000 and aimed to promote international exchange with the local community.

The event offered activities showcasing Japanese culture, such as sweets-making, tea ceremonies, and flower arrangement.
Visitors of all ages enjoyed these hands-on experiences while building meaningful connections.

The horticulture students served as event staff, handling reception duties, preparing and managing activity booths, guiding participants, and more.
They brought their language skills and global perspectives to the event, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere through interactions with attendees.

At the Faculty of Horticulture, Chiba University, we actively provide opportunities for international students to experience Japanese society and deepen their ties to the local community.
We will continue to collaborate with the region to promote international exchange and expand learning opportunities for our students.

Highlights from the event will be broadcast on J:COM on Saturday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m.
